Sarah L Dixon Sarah L Dixon lives in a glorious Huddersfield valley. Sarah’s new book about being a 90s indie kid, A bit like falling in love is launching on 10th October 2024. This has received glowing reviews from 90s indie legends including Jim Bob (Carter USM), Jonn Penney (Neds) & Ian Prowse (Amsterdam).

Sarah L Dixon is originally from Stockport but is now based in Linthwaite, Huddersfield and tours to host showcases as The Quiet Compere when funding allows. 

Sarah was shortlisted in Wolverhampton Poetry Prize 2022 and Rosemary McLeish Poetry Prize 2022 and has recently been published in ‘The Storms – Inaugural edition’ ‘Lighthouse Journal’, ‘Prole’, ‘Spelt’,‘The Journal’, ‘Strix’ and ‘Rialto’.

Her previous books are ‘The sky is cracked’ (Half Moon Press, 2017), ‘Adding wax patterns to Wednesday’ (Three Drops Press, 2018) and ‘Aardvark Wisdom’ (Kazvina Press, 2021). She also has poems in a number of recent anthologies including Bloody Amazing! (Yaffle Dragon Press) (2020), These are the Hands NHS anthology (Fair Acres Press) edited by Michael Rosen (2020) and The Brown Envelope Book (2021)

Sarah’s inspiration comes from many places, including pubs and music and being by and in water.
